PM Brown; The Labour Party - The Barbarians of our age

The media are still putting the spin of respectability on a government that should have fallen on its sword long since. We still hear incredible praise from otherwise intelligent people, attempting to persuade us that Brown is a statesman, has stature, and will work a miracle, yet.

Brown himself tells us he want to go on working to complete the job.

Heavens above ... Hasn't this man done enough already?

As for his abilities, I've only noticed the negative ones, like his proficency at lies and spin, and you will notice none of the people that praise him actually come forth with any strengths that would make a difference now. They know very well he hasn't any.

It is without doubt that Brown, Blair and the rest of the tricksters in the labour government are 120% responsible for the mess we are in now. Anybody that doubts that shouldn't be surprised if they are classed in the same category as the mentally challenged that wander the streets in a daze.

Yet, what is it that Brown wants to get on with.... Is it anything we the public have asked for?

The answer is a resounding "NO", but Brown out of touch as ever, has worked out that he needs to say something to quell the anger over MP's ripping us off with expenses. So, what does he propose - two examples of his perverted thinking:

1. He wants to move the UK over to PR - a proportional representation system of voting. Now, can anybody explain why this would improve accountability of MP's - the short answer is that it would not. Now we have an MP representing a specific area. With PR, you will have a lot more MP's representing a larger area........... So try voting YOUR MP out at the next election. It won't happen because the party chooses the candidates, and your vote counts for the whole party in your area.

2. He wants to complete the changes to the House of Lords This is of course the biggest joke yet. Labour have already done so much damage to democracy by destroying the effectiveness of the HoL's, and now Brown wants to take it further by having the upper house elected like the Commons is. Do we really want this - a duplicate of the Commons? It won't help in the slightest, but it's one of Labours gripes. They have never understood the function of the HoL's, and through spite and ignorance, they would destroy it.

Do you ever get the feeling we are all in a daze. All of these insane things are occurring, we have a government that has destroyed the country, and yet the media talk in terms of a few local difficulties. The media is as responsible as any inept Labour minister, for they have supported them, given them credence, but worst of all, they have perpetuated their insane spin and lies until few really understand the gravity of our situation.

Over and above this we have a government that will not accept responsibility for the chaos they have caused, and lack any moral content. A PM that cared anything for his country would have gone to the country by now, but this one just drags it out, making the damage worse, destroying real hope day by day. Hoping things will improve and some sort of miracle will see his popularity rise again. These are the dreams of a psychotic, but that's for another time.

It really is time for some reality to flourish and show itself, so that we don't all sleep-walk to our doom.

- The incompetence, mismanagement and social indoctrination of this labour government need to be fully exposed and open to view

- The moral and financial state of this country need to be properly examined and corrected.

Openness and honesty are not just spin-words - they are vital to our future, and we desperately to invest in these things, but before that we need to bury the Labour movement in a very large hole. Bankrupting the country is bad enough, but achieving it twice in one lifetime is unforgivable.
